He was one of the most fearless big-wave surfers. In March 2003, at the ripe old age of 23, he had already caught, at Teahupoo, the largest wave ever ridden. He had been one of the most consistent talents at Teahupoo with team rider Manoa Drollet. This photo was taken on 26th September 2005, a few months before his tragic death surfing Banzai Pipeline in Hawaii. Proceeds will go to the Joyeux family.
